Heidi Owens

Heidi grew up in Des Moines, Iowa and swam on the swim team until the age of 18. Heidi started her coaching career in Albia, where she coached the swim team there until 1999. Her and her family then moved to Ottumwa, Iowa and her girls became members of the Barracuda Swim Team. Shortly thereafter, Heidi became involved in coaching and teaching swim lessons. Heidi is currently the Head Coach of The Ottumwa Barracudas and is Pool Manager at Ottumwa Country Club during the summer. She is also a kindergraten teacher at Horace Mann School. Heidi is married with three daughters.
Hannah Owens
Head Lifegaurd
Hannah grew up in a family based on swimming, being the daughter of Heidi Owens. She began swimming before she could walk and was a member of numerous swim teams starting at the age of 4. Hannah began coaching the Ottumwa Barracudas in 2005 and has been a lifegaurd at the Ottumwa Country Club since 2007. Hannah graduated from Ottumwa High School in 2009 and is currently attending the University of Iowa studying psychology, in hopes of becoming a criminal psychologist. Hannah is available for group and private swimming lessons and really enjoys working with young children.
